MMD Battle of the Planetes

Chibi IA scampered for her life out her bedroom window and on to the roof above the porch; she then slid down the rain gutter, dashed across the lawn and out the rear garden gate. IA looked crossedly out the window at her fleeing younger sibling, contemplated following her route but thought better of it. She decided to take the safer route and headed downstairs to proceed with her pursuit through the kitchen door.

IA: (in as calm a voice as she could muster) Mom, I'm taking sis to the park, we'll be back by dinner.
IA's Mom: Alright dear ... oh ... we're short on wasabi, can you please pick up some from the shopping district near the park on your way back? Also, make sure your sister doesn't snack, I want her to start eating her meals properly or she'll never grow.
IA: Yes Mother, I take care of it (and in a more sinister tone) and my sister too.
IA's Mom: Make sure your sister doesn't come home all scratched up and bruised ... (she said this in a tone that only a knowing mother would use) ... that child can be a handful at times I know, but we must all show patience with our little ones now don't we?
IA: (Looking quizzically at her mother for a moment before responding) Yes, Mom ...

She then bowed to her mother before exiting the kitchen door to continue her pursuit. IA knew where her sister would most likely be headed, so she calmly walked as she passed through the lawn and it was not until she was outside the property and out of view of her mother standing in the kitchen that she began to run with murder in her eyes. She must have had quite a frightening visage as all the neighborhood cats that usually came out to greet her when she passed this way instead chose to remain hidden in bushes. Nevertheless, IA had enough presence of mind to smile and wave at neighbors as she passed by them.

The park wasn't far from their home, it was just down the hill from their house and in keeping with modern park designs, IA knew there would be few, if any places for her sister to hide. She began to relish the thoughts of what she would do to her sister once she got a hold of her and calmed her pace to a more leisurely stride which would seem to a keen observer as much like that of a cat on the prowl for prey. She spotted her sister even before she crossed the road to the park; her sister was perched on top of the large monkey bars making faces at her.

IA: GET DOWN HERE!
Chibi IA: Not in a million years!
IA: I swear this time I'll kill you.
Chibi IA: Only if you can get up here, and I know you can't as one, you're too old; and two, you're too fat. By the way your head looks really big from up here.
IA: Don't make me have to go up there and get you ...
Chibi IA: Yeah really, you climb this? Har, you'll just end up falling on your fat ass. Don't forget I'm the nimble one and you're a total klutz, baka ...
IA: Right that's it, I'll show you who's a klutz you little twerp!

IA proceeded to ascend the monkey bar frames; a task made easier since she had long legs and she had begun her ascent using the back of a park bench. Her younger sibling, holding on to one of the support columns of the structure was somewhat precariously balanced at the top of the structure. Nevertheless, she was unperturbed by the approach of her sister. In fact she was as defiant as ever and gave her sister her version of a one finger salute. This had the effect of temporarily halting her older sibling's ascent.

IA: And what is that supposed to mean?
Chibi IA: It's a one finger salute, baka ...
IA: No it's not.
Chibi IA: Oh? And how would you know that "Miss All Prim and Proper"? I know how to give a one finger salute because Miku taught me! And she's always right when it comes to this sort of thing. See unlike you, she's smart and you're not, so bleh!
IA: I'll have you know that I'm a lot smarter than Miku; my grades are the highest in the class and she's usually at the bottom somewhere.
Chibi IA: That proves zip, my grades are about the same as Chibi Miku's (both are in the bottom range of their class) and I'm smart and she's not!
IA: Anyway, make out your Will, I'm going to tear you limb from limb when I get up there.
Chibi IA: I wouldn't come up any higher if I were you ...
IA: Oh? And you think you're going to stop me with that? Not even a good try ...
Chibi IA: I'm not going to stop you, they are ...

Chibi IA points at something behind her sister. IA looks behind to see a group of predominantly male Otaku fans near them and approaching with camera and cell phones clicking.

Chibi IA: If you're going to get any higher they're going to be able to see your panties and guess what's going to be posted on the Internet tonight, heh? We are living in Japan you know ... oh btw, you've got wrinkles on your forehead.

Chibi IA puts on a big smile and waves cheerily at the approaching Otaku fans. IA on the otherhand was in an awkward predicament. She was straddled between the park bench and the monkey bars and if a wind came blowing now ... she gave her sister a really hard glare (one of those that foretold doom, death and destruction) and then gracefully descended back to the ground, both hands firmly pressing down on the front of her mini-skirt.

IA: Konichiwa!

She puts on a big smile and gives an idol wave, wink and salute to the small group of fans now gathering around her. She thought to herself that the next time she should probably wear jeans as that would allow her to retreat up the monkey bars.

The fans clamour around her for photos and autographs; all this time she's fully aware of her younger sister sniggering and making snide remarks from above and behind her.

Otaku Fans: What are you doing here today IA-san? You look as pretty as ever.
IA: I'm taking my little sister out to play in the park as it's such a nice day.

She ends the statement by adopting another 'idol' pose for the cameras.

Chibi IA: Yes, my sweet sister is going to take me to the cake shop after this at the shopping district over there. Do you want to come with us? They'll be plenty more photo opps!

The Otaku fans murmur in approval.

IA: (Giving her sister a cunning look). Oh I see the ice cream van coming ...
Chibi IA: You think I'm that stupid? You know I can see the entire neighborhood from up here.
IA: (Hissing slightly). Come on down dearest sister, it's time for us to go shopping for Mom.

The Otaku fans make more murmurs of approval and totally misread IA's true intentions.

Chibi IA: (Still smiling as brightly as ever). Not in a million years, the shops are just across the road, you go ahead "dearest sister", I'll be a good girl and wait right here for you. BTW, you've got dandruff.

Alarmed by the last statement, IA flicks her hair subconciously in what must have appeared to be a rather attractive manner as this caused her to appear to the fans as giving them another photo opp so they clicked away madly on their cameras and phones. However, being caught off guard, this caused some distress to IA. This was something that Chibi IA noticed.

Chibi IA: HEY THERE'S MIKU!!! Quick over there on the otherside of the road!

The fans immediately stopped their harassment of IA, looked in the direction that Chibi IA was pointing and then proceeded to run in the direction indicated. As soon as they were a short distance away, Chibi IA nimbly clambers down the monkey bars, grabs hold of her startled sister's hands and pulls her towards the shopping district on the other side of the street.

Chibi IA: Stop dwaddling sister, like get with the program and keep going! Let's get away whilst they're distracted. They won't be able to easily find us in the crowds at the shopping district. Oh BTW, now you officially owe me, so buy me a cake at the shop, kay?

Recovering her composure, but grudgingly admiring her younger sister's cunning, IA formulates her response. She stops her sister at the traffic lights and kneels down to straighten out her sibling's clothing.

IA: I'll let you off the hook this time, but keep out of my bedroom from now on and especially don't read my diary. We have to pick up some wasabi at the shop for Mom and she said you're not to snack as she wants you to eat properly at dinner, so sorry no cakes for you.
Chibi IA: Hmmmm ... okay, since it was Mom that said so, I'll comply and note it's only because Mom said so, and I'm a good girl and you're not. BTW, how do I know you're telling the truth?
IA: Would I lie to you?
Chibi IA: Yes ...
IA: Well it's no lie, you can ask Mom when we get home.
Chibi IA: That's not going to work, she always sides with you!
IA: (Looks smuggly at her sister for a moment). "That's cuz I'm smart and you're not" ...
