I've been talking with ~GM34 for awhile about building a sci-fi themed stage that is geared towards cyber-girl style MMD models, but for one reason or another, was diverted to other projects.

Well, this week I finally got around to getting it done. Honestly, it wasn't that hard as I also did mention to *Xoriu that I wanted to build a stage inspired by her model of Nimda. Since she was kindly receptive to the idea, I used Nimda's design as the guiding principle in laying out the design elements and color scheme.

But still, Nimda is special.

As a work of art in itself, this edit is absolutely stunning. I loved it the first time I saw her and she's easily one of my top fave DA edits. Plus I was lucky enough to get her when *Xoriu offered her as a Limited Edition Collectable. Well, anyway, I didn't just want to build a theme stage - I really wanted it to be "special" in some unique way.

That's when "inspiration" struck me.

There have been some attempts at creating stages which feature animations that synchronizes with the music being performed. They're kind of fiddly and some require the use of an external application to prepare the needed data. I wanted to keep it simple. So, I've made this stage simple to use.

This stage's animation uses the exact same motion data as the performing Vocaloid. As long as there is lip-sync data in the motion data set, the animation in this set will also work. Which means it can use all existing VSQ and VMD data files with embedded lip-sync data.

Literally, it's just drag and drop ... !

In addition, ~GM34 had kindly agreed to collaborate with me by testing the stage, but more importantly to apply his unique skills and talents to create a really wonderful demo showing this stage in action - and of course it stars Nimda. So here we have it. A nice new stage which synchronizes perfectly with almost any motion data set where the Vocaloid performer is singing. Specially designed as a suitable setting for Cyber style and Sci-Fi themed MMD performance models.
