MMD Monomi - Model Review

Overview:
If you like playing password games to gain possession of a model, then this is a package for you. After you managed to download and unpack it and load the model into MMD, you get a cute bunny girl in a pink and white costume. So let's check her out ...

MMD:
[1] Physics test - no problem, nothing falls off ...
[2] UI - many bones unlabelled
[3] Groups list - daunting to look at ...
[4] OK - first major problem - look at the face. Normals on a lot of the polygons on the face are reversed. Fortunately there is an easy fix. Simply apply a shader to the model like adult shader. OK, now she's not going to scare the living daylights out of the chibi gang ...
[5] Motion test - she moves nicely, inspite of the fact that she's got multiple groove bones and some odd ones too. GrooveAsst bones? Not sure what those do, but at least one of them is weighted to part of the hair (don't move it).

OK, she's usable so let's have a quick look inside the PMD Editor.

PMD:
[1] Materials - nicely labeled (at least on the Japanese side).
[2] Bones - other than a few bones of dubious value it looks OK. Duplicate groove bones but it shouldn't matter much. It's a big mess in that area anyway, but doesn't otherwise affect the model's function. Labeling incomplete.
[3] Facials - data structure looks intact. Assume they all work.
[4] Groups - duplicate entries found - honestly, I didn't want to look at this too closely as it's a bit messed up, but if you're just going to load motions on the model, this doesn't matter anyway. I doubt anyone will develop a motion using this model so it's not a big issue.

Summary:
It's a decent edit. It works and looks pleasant. Nothing to write home about, but if you like bunny girls, it's a nice addition to your collection.
