MMD City Models and the Rules of Thirds Tutorial

Description

This is another simple tutorial and the subject this time (as I'm often asked) is how to set up MMD city models and what and how to use the MME Rule of Thirds tool.

The Rule of Thirds
Is a set of rules used by classical artists and basically its a composition tool. Modern art doesn't put a lot of emphasis on it and many art classes don't even teach it. However, it's a major tool used by professional photographers and to a lesser extent, graphic designers.

Whether you choose to use this method of composition is a decision you need to make for yourself, but the theory and the tool are available should you choose to use it. I use it a lot, and you can see this in the work displayed in my gallery.

Here is the Wikipedia article on the Rule of Thirds, and it puts down the entire theory in a nutshell: [link]

If you want to learn more about this theory, just Google "Rule of Thirds". There are hundreds of excellent articles on its theory and application in both classic and modern arts; especially photography which is specially applicable to what we do with MMD.
